REDOX Reactions
If you understand redox reactions, you should be able to answer the following four questions for any redox reaction provided:
- Is this reaction a redox?
- Which chemical species is oxidized? Or, which is reduced? (remember the acronym "OIL RIG")
- What is oxidizing agent? Or, what is reducing agent?)
- How many electrons are transferred in the reaction?
